In recent 30 years, the Bureau has obtained great achievements in geological prospecting and science research: has discovered and measured more than 500 mineral deposits; has completed more than 600 geological exploration reports on more than 20 kinds of minerals such as phosphorus, sulfur, potash, boron and so on; has measured mineral reserves 8.16 billion ton; has made a lot of new break through and innovation in geological basic theory, metallogenic theory, metallogenic law research; and has won 468 awards for science and technology progress at national and ministerial and provincial levels.
